At B&K Boiler Services Ltd, we consider the health and safety of both our staff and customers to be of the utmost importance. Following the recent escalation levels in the spread of the Coronavirus, we want to reassure you that we are continuing to actively follow Government guidelines to ensure we have the best protocols in place to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus both in our office and at customers’ properties.
This includes:
Increased cleaning processes, including regularly disinfecting touch points in all common areas
Replacing soap dispensers with antibacterial soap
Providing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and cleaning product available for all reception areas and individual engineers attending call outs
Strongly advising our staff to ensure they do not allow visitors on-site who may have travelled from high risk areas or come into contact with a positive patient
We request all customers make us aware of any illness or heath conditions within the property at the time of booking
Working closely with our engineers to review their individual protocols and ensuring they are being vigilant in personal hygiene at all times.
Whilst we are regularly updating our protocol for our engineers and members of staff in our office, our current protocol includes:
Check-in every morning for signs of fever, coughing or general signs of sickness
Providing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and cleaning product available for all reception areas and individual engineers attending call outs
Wash hands regularly and thoroughly with antibacterial soap
Remind engineers and customers to cover their mouth if coughing or sneezing by using their elbow or a tissue
Encourage no hand shaking
What can you do to help reduce the spread and prepare for self-isolation?
Aside from following the same hygiene guidelines as our staff and engineers, it’s important to ensure that your boiler and heating are running smoothly. Washing hands with warm water is more effective for removing germs than with cold water.
We would advise speaking to friends and family to check that their hot water supply and heating are running smoothly and that your boiler is on a schedule which ensures hot water is available 24/7. If you require any further clarification please do not hesitate to contact us or you can book online here.
We are working hard to ensure minimal disruption for our customers during this difficult situation. We hope to maintain a continuous service throughout the outbreak and will be keeping up to date on further advisories by the Government. Our contingency plans allow for our reception team to continue operating remotely.
We thank you for co-operating with us – if you have any questions or concerns, please call us on 01276 705000 or send us a message.
